I'm looking for a specific article.

Answer

1.       If you know the title of the journal that you are interested in, you can go to the Library’s homepage and click Find a Journal in the top right corner

2.       In the pop up window, enter the journal title

3.       Click Go

4.       When the results appear, your title may have several different database options for how to access it. To know which link to click on, look at the date range available. This is especially helpful if you know when the article you would like was published.

a.       If you don’t have a specific article that you’re looking for, simply choose the link with the widest date range or most recent issues available.

b.      Once you have determined which link to use, click on the database name to open the journal. If you click on the journal title, it won’t necessarily bring back the best option for your purposes. An example of a database name is EBSCOhost PsycARTICLES.

5.       Once the database opens, look for a way to search within this publication. This will allow you to search for articles that appear only in that journal. Typically, there will also be a browse feature where you can select different years and issues.

6.       If the Library does not provide access to the journal you are interested in, or the date range doesn’t include the article you need, you’ll need to submit an InterLibrary Loan request. If possible, the article will be emailed to you in approximately 2-3 business days.
